Michele “Mik” Oca is the Founder and Creative Director of US Design Lab, a boutique design and branding studio specializing in entertainment venues. With over 30 years of international experience across multiple markets, Mik combines strategic branding with hands-on space planning to help owners transform underperforming buildings into distinctive, revenue-driven destinations.

Mik’s strength is connecting vision to business outcomes. He works closely with both corporate leaders and independent entrepreneurs to clarify what a venue should become, translate that direction into a clear concept, and shape it into a design that supports guest flow, experience, and profitability. His approach is practical, fast, and highly visual—helping teams align early and move forward with confidence.

Over the course of his career, Mik has helped more than 100 businesses strengthen their identity through branding and design, improving market perception and creating a more compelling customer experience. His work is informed by a multicultural background and a track record of projects across the United States and international markets, giving him a wide lens and a strong instinct for what resonates with different audiences.

At US Design Lab, Mik leads creative direction, master planning, branding, and client communication—ensuring every project maintains a consistent vision from the first concept through final presentation.

Principal Interior Designer

Renée King is an award-winning, NCIDQ-certified interior designer with over 25 years of experience delivering high-impact entertainment and hospitality environments across North America. She specializes in family entertainment centers, cinemas, bowling venues, and immersive guest experiences—translating bold concepts into highly functional, revenue-generating spaces that perform in the real world.

Renée’s work is grounded in clear systems and disciplined execution. Influenced by Lean methodologies developed through large-scale healthcare projects, she brings structure, coordination, and speed to complex projects—helping teams reduce friction, control scope, and protect design intent through every phase.

She is known for building strong partnerships between owners, architects, consultants, and contractors, aligning stakeholders early and improving decision-making through clear documentation and actionable deliverables. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, including concept development, detailed interior design, construction documentation oversight, budgeting coordination, and large-scale procurement support.

At US Design Lab, Renée serves as Senior Design Integrator—elevating interior quality, guiding documentation standards, mentoring the production team, and ensuring that design vision translates into buildable outcomes.
